Welcome to the 2nd chapter of my blog, today we’re gonna talk about why midwest emo is subtle.
Because of its contemplative and poetic lyrics as well as its rich and complicated orchestration, Midwest emo is sometimes described as being subtle. Midwest emo typically uses metaphor, symbolism, and subtle changes in dynamics and tempo to create a mood or convey a feeling rather than depending on overt or explicit expressions of emotion.
One good example of lyrics is ” Reading subtitles cause I can’t hear the show you put on for noise”. Damn so deep right this is a lyric in the song titled How Do You Know It’s Not Armadillo Shells? by Hot Mulligan
